I'm Lauren, founder of ACRO.
I got my master's thinking I'd spend my career as an elementary teacher. That's not how it went.
The next 11 years zigzagged: teaching, then coaching and managing in fitness, back to teaching, then corporate recruiting. For a long time I couldn't see how any of it fit together. Different worlds, but I kept feeling the same thing in each one: all in, until I stopped learning, then stuck and restless, sure I'd taken a wrong turn.
It took me a long time to see it wasn't a wrong turn. Getting stuck wasn't me failing. It's part of how I learn and grow, and what matters is what I do to move through it. The throughline was there the whole time. Two things were always true, no matter the job: I was teaching, and I was building trust. Real trust, the kind people feel when they know you actually listened. Building trust is the part people say you can't teach. It's the part I lead with.
I never left teaching. I just took it out of the classroom. Now I do it with owners who feel the way I have, holding everything together, unsure of the next move. I help you find where it's breaking down, build the foundation underneath it, and get confident running it on your own.
